Removable Extensions

Before washing, detangle your extensions using a wide tooth comb. Work gradually and gently from the ends. Gently bathe your extensions in a basin filled with a solution of approximately 15 ml (1 tbsp.) of X-TENDZ™ per litre (34 fl. oz.) of cool water. Carefully comb the solution through and let soak for 10 minutes. Do not rub the hair together as this can damage the extensions. Holding your hair by the roots, rinse well under cold running water. Gently blot out most of the water using a towel and lay your hair on a flat surface covered with a fresh dry towel. Straighten out the hair using a large tooth comb and allow to air dry.

Bonded Extensions

Shampoo optional and not necessary. Use water as cool as tolerable. Rinse hair thoroughly then apply X-TENDZ™ into the palm of your hands and rub together; use an amount appropriate to hair length and thickness. Apply to scalp and while being careful not to disturb the bonds, massage with finger tips for 1 to 3 minutes, adding a little more water to help spread the product. X-TENDZ™ will not lather. Rinse thoroughly while massaging scalp and running fingers or large tooth comb through to the ends. A small amount can be left in to the ends to help protect them.

Hair Systems or Wigs

Before washing, detangle your wig using a wide tooth comb. Work gradually and gently from the ends. Gently wet the hair using cool water but do not soak. Evenly distribute a small amount of X-Tendz throughout the hair being careful not to scrub. Carefully comb the solution through and let stand for 3 to 10 minutes. Holding your hair by the roots, rinse well under cold running water. Gently blot out most of the water using a towel and lay your hair on a wig stand. Straighten out the hair using a large tooth comb and allow to air dry.

Your Own Hair

X-TENDZ™ is perfect for your own hair as well. Great for dry, damaged hair and split ends; for hair that's been permed, tinted, or subjected to salt and chlorine. Makes a great detangler.

Swimming with your Extensions

Prior to swimming, it is advisable to loosely braid your extensions to prevent knotting and apply a small amount of X-TENDZ™ in the palm of your hands, rub together and apply throughout your hair. After swimming, thoroughly rinse the chlorine or salt water from your hair and apply X-TENDZ™ as instructed for use on bonded extensions. Do not shampoo.
